Recipe for Liz Sieverding's "Never-Fail Noodles" (From Aunt Nita)
Beat 3 egg yolks
til light & fluffy
Add 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. melted Crisco
2 T. cream (milk will do)
Stir with spoon while
adding flour to make
a soft dough that will
roll out easy on a
floured board
Cut in strips
Place in boiling
broth to cook til
done (probably 10 min)
(Noodles could be dried and
cooked later in old days)
If drained,
noodles can be fried
with oil & onion for
a variation.

M. LOW.–STAND
Approx. Time: 25 minutes
Approx. Yield: 4 servings
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup thinly sliced carrots
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups chicken broth
1 can (16 oz.) stewed tomatoes, chopped
1 cup shredded cabbage or zucchini
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans, drained
1/4 to 1/3 cup broken spaghetti (about 2-inch pieces)
Set Power Select at HIGH. In 3-quart casserole dish, heat butter, carrots and onions, covered, 5 to 6 minutes. Add broth, tomatoes, cabbage, basil, parsley and salt. Heat, covered, 7 to 8 minutes, stirring once.
Set Power Select at MEDIUM-LOW. Add kidney beans and spaghetti and heat, covered, 9 to 11 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring once. Let STAND, covered, 10 minutes or until spaghetti is tender, before serving.
