Our Fall Festival Doughnuts Fayette’s friend's mom Darlene Hesson in Aberdeen Idaho 1975 Taught Cate to make these huge doughnuts! Put in pan { 2 qt. warm water 4 pkg yeast 1 c. sugar add 5 beaten eggs ½ c. milk powder (dry) Plan to use about 5 lb flour - Out in some flour then 2 T. salt ½ c. oil Mix with spoon until wet Raise 1 Hr. Turn with spoon 3X Raise less than ½ Hr 2 more times, Dump on table & flatten gently with hand about 3/4 ” thick. Cut with a tuna can and use a donut center cutter for the hole. Stretch open slightly Raise up to 2 Hr on floured surface VERY HIGH: HANDLE GENTLY! To Cook + Glaze (or sugar) see next page Transfer dough with spatula to support. 60 doughnuts
