Strawberry Julius - very thick
frozen strawberries (that were sweetened before freezing)
- milk
- whole egg
- vanilla
Quick high-nutrient breakfast:
Orange Julius and a slice of whole wheat toast.
Mint Tea
Makes 2 qts. concentrate
Stuff a 2-qt. jar until full with: clean mint leaves
Add:
1 c. sugar
Run hot water over outside of jar to prevent breakage, then pour in: boiling water to fill
Agitate jar to dissolve sugar. Cover loosely and let stand several hours or overnight. Strain contents. Use resulting concentrate by pouring into ice-filled tall glasses. Concentrate may be frozen.

Pina Colada
- drained pineapple
- ice
- coconut flavoring
Orange Julius
Makes 1 pt.
Whirl in blender:
1 egg
½ c. concentrated orange juice
½ c. milk
4-6 ice cubes, partially crushed
1-2 t. sugar or honey (optional)
Makes 1 pint.
Option:
Substitute for orange concentrate: 1 banana plus ½ t. vanilla, or ½ c. sliced strawberries.

Fresh Meadow Tea
Makes 1 gal.
Bring to boil:
2 c. sugar
4 c. water
Pour over:
2 c. mint leaves, packed
2 sliced lemons
Let stand overnight. Strain off concentrate and store in refrigerator. When ready to serve, pour into a gallon container and fill with water and ice.

2 ½ c. frozen melon chunks
2 c. milk
1 egg
¼ c. sugar
1 T. vanilla
Blend all together in blender until smooth. Aug '87
