SPROUTING IS EASY.
Put one to three Table spoons of Grain, Beans, nuts in a quart Jar and half fill the jar with tepid water. Cover and let it stand over night: Next morning cover the jar with a double layer of cheese cloth, or nylon net.
Now with out removing this cover, simply drain off this soak water into a Jar. Do not discard it, mix it with fruit or vegetable juices, use it as soup stock, Use it to cook rice or vegetables in. it contains valuable water-soluble vitamins and minerals.
Now rinse the seeds or grains with fresh water not hot not cold just luke warm. This second water you can use to water your plants. The plants will love it.
After rinsing the seeds, invert the jar or tilt slightly so that the moisture that is left can excape, but the seeds will have a source of oxygen. Now put the seed jar in a dark place rest then in this sink in a tilted position covered with a paper bag or cloth.
Repeat the rinsing proceedure two or three times a day. By the end of the second day some seeds like wheat and lentils are just about ready to eat. Don’t let the sprouts get to long. One pound od grain seeds, beans or nuts becomes 6 to 8 pounds of sprouts.
Where else can you get that kind of divident on your invernment.?
To many people the best thing about sprouts is that they are delicious.
Get some seeds, wheat, rye, oats, alfalfa, mung beans, garabanzas, Soy beans, Radish, and many others.
HOW TO EAT THEM: Add them to salads, to soups, just before you are ready to serve. Add them to chopped meat dishes, sprinkle on a casseroie, topped on yogert.
