Chocolate Covered Almonds Duke Whitman 1 pkg (6 oz) chocolate bits - semi-sweet 1 oz. baking chocolate Melt these in double boiler over hot water. Don't let this get over 110°F. Use a cooking thermometer. 1 lb. toasted almonds (half) Put these in melted chocolate, stir to cover, and let chocolate cool to 90°-100°F. Using a kitchen fork, take coated almonds out of warm chocolate one at a time and place on wax paper or baking pan. Repeat until covering all almonds.
