Add dissolved yeast.
Add flour to make a stiff dough.
Lots of kneading makes better bread.
When dough does not stick to fingers, lightly grease dough & also a large pan and let—
raise in a warm place with cloth over it, till double in bulk.
Knead down & let raise again,
knead down & put in 3 or 4 loaf pans that have been well greased.
Let rise in pans 1½ hrs. Bake in 350 oven
about 45 min. or till brown on all sides.

Cut strips off any yeast dough after it has risen for the last time before knocking it down and before putting it into pans,
Drop strips into hot, deep fat, using Crisco; when brown, carefully flip it over to brown on other side. Place on paper towel & then dip in sugar.
