Recipe for: "Bread pudding sauce"
from the kitchen of: Grandma
2 Tablespoons flour
1 cup white sugar
add 1 Tablespoon margarine
& 2 1/2 cups milk (hot milk)
Bring to a boil, while stirring as it scorches easily.
Add 1 teaspoon lemon extract and if desired add a drop of yellow food coloring.
This sorta thickens as it cools. Serve this sauce over bread pudding for a tasty dessert.
