Pie BURLE ROGERS PIE CRUST 1 c. flour (white or whole wheat) ⅔ c. Crisco Dash of salt 1 c. flour (white) ⅓ c. cool water 375° Place 1 cup flour and salt, then Crisco into a bowl. Work with a fork until satin smooth as rubbed on side of the bowl. Add 1 cup flour and water. Use fork to work ingredients together, then work with hands if you prefer. Preheat oven. Roll out in 2 parts on a floured board (as thin as ⅛ inch). Fold in half to transfer to pie dish easily. Second part can be the top crust over any pie filling which has been dotted with butter (or 2 pie shells, pricked with a fork; can be baked approximately Rita Love 10 min til very beginning of change in color and feels dry—not as brown as most crust.)
