Banana Cake (Corine Sieverding)
1 ½ cups sugar (or scant cups)
½ cup butter (full ½ cup)
2 well beaten eggs
¾ cups Buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2 cups flour
1 cup mashed well ripened bananas
(Bananas should be turning dark orange)
Vanilla - 1 tsp.

Mix sugar + butter till well blended
Add beaten eggs + mix well.
Add flour + buttermilk alternately
Add bananas + vanilla. Mix well.
Bake in 325° oven (no hotter)
for 55 minutes in greased floured pan
Use glass 12”x7½” size is perfect
This makes one large loaf
