"Fruit Filled Cookies"
Grandma Liz Sieverding
Cookies
1 cup sugar
½ cup margarine
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
Cream sugar & margarine
Add beaten eggs & vanilla
Sift dry ingredients and add
to sugar mixture. (Refrig for 1 hr.)
Roll out like pie dough, adding
more flour if necessary.
Cut out with cookie cutter &
place on greased cookie sheet.
Put one teaspoon filling on each
cookie, then put a cookie on
top & press edges together firmly.
Bake 350°F for 12-15 minutes or
till lightly brown. Filling on other side
