"Peanut Cookies" (Samples enclosed) — Grandma — 2 cups brown sugar 1 cup shortening (oleo) add: 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla Add: 2 cups wheaties or corn flakes 2 cups oatmeal Sift together and add 2 3/4 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon soda Mix well and then add 1 can Planters Peanuts or about 1 1/2 cups Bake at 375° oven for about 10-12 minutes — NATURAL FRUIT JUICE KNOX BLOX 4 envelopes Knox Unflavored Gelatine 3 cups fruit juice 1/4 cup cold fruit juice Dissolve fruit juice, heated to boiling, in bowl; sprinkle gelatine over cold juice; let stand 1 minute. Add hot juice and stir until gelatine is completely dissolved. Pour into 13 x 9-inch bar pan, chill until firm. Cut into 1-inch squares. Makes about 3 dozen. Variation: FOR KNOX BLOX WITH FLAVORED, SWEETENED DESSERT, (with fruit juice, in bowl, mix unflavored gelatine with 3 packages (4-serving size each) fruit flavor or sugar-free fruit flavor gelatine; add 4 cups boiling water and stir until gelatine is completely dissolved. Chill and cut as above.
