Famous Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
Have Famous Original Nestle's Toll House
Recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 c. (12 oz.) Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda & salt; set aside. In large mixer bowl, cream butter, sugar, brown sugar & vanilla extract until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in morsels & nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in preheated oven 375°F (190°C) for 9 to 11 minutes. (For the best cookies are baked to the upper limits above time & less dough on paper.)
