"Koledorma" or Stuffed Cabbage leaves.
(Swedish Dish)
1 pound ground beef
1 cup soft bread crumbs
4 tablespoons drippings or bacon grease
1 medium onion - chopped or ground
½ teaspoon sage
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 cup cooked rice + cabbage leaves
Mix all ingredients together except the cabbage leaves.
Take the cabbage head and put it into a pan of hot water - cook a few minutes till leaves are soft.
Place one heaping tablespoon mixture in each leaf + roll up. Tie with a string.
Place in frying pan, put into pan several cups boiling water + bouillon cube. Cook on the stove till light brown + done. Cook in the oven about two hours."
